in my area there would be no need... Verizon would basically be the only carrier. And no one cares about land line phone calls anymore

Verizon really should have my circle. They would have allot more customers. Rollover would be nice to. Wonder how Alltel customers are feeling. Its going to be nice to have service in rural areas

I do not know what they do today, but about three years ago Verizon came here, and bought up a small carrier. They forced everyone to go on their current plans. People were not to allowed to keep legacy plans. This hurt them very badly here. The old carrier offered several low-rate plans that low end users ate up. I understand from a business standpoint they want the ARPU, but these were people who never upgraded their phones, and most of the time they were not even turned on so they were not tying up any network. They simply collected a check form these people. At the time I worked for Tmobile, and even though their service is terrible, we had three months in a row of record breaking sales as people left Verizon in droves. I hope th...

Yes. many customers will be going to a carrier with worse customer service and coverage. Yeah. Right.

VZW incalling will reach 80 million people and will be a stronger benefit than ever before. They won't have to spend alot of money on their pla

We will have to wait and see. In light to VZW's new direction in regards to open access phones ... perhaps there will be another surprise here in regards to price plan integrations between both carriers.

If the merger goes through, every user would have approximately 80 million other user that would be IN-calling. That's sound a lot better that a little circle to me.
Note: this is just my opinion and as always- everyone has a right to choose what carrier works best for them.

I don't care about mobile to mobile, that's a given. Every carrier has that. I have unlimited calling to my home phone, work phones, my fiance's phone (she has Sprint), and my good friend's phone (also Sprint). None of those are Verizon lines. So now I'll have to lose my unlimited calling, PLUS pay $10-$20 more a month for the same amount of anytime minutes? That's BS, and there's no way I or any other Alltel customer will stand for that. If they don't let us keep our current plans and features, those 13 million customers they're gaining will turn into a MUCH smaller number.

it would be nice if everyone you talk to is on verizon. but like me, many people have friends and family on other providers. unfortunatly mobile to mobile doesnt work in all situations, unless you can somehow convince all your close friends or family members to switch to verizon. if not people who you could call befor for free will now take your min up

Of course not. IN fact I spoke with a froiend on Altell this morning who says he will port out if Verizon buys them. He is used to getting free ringtones and the My Circle thing has been HUGE. for AlTell. I have a feeling they created My Circle to garner customers and get good CS results in order to sell the company.

It wasn't too long ago a private EQ firm bought ALLTel. Build it up and sell it.

Verizon will have to RESELL many of the customers as they will be LOSING service features not gaining anything.

You have friends? Oh...wait sorry. You have a "froiend" at a company that doesn't exist called "Alltell".........The private equity firm that purchased them only did so as a hold-over until they would be purchased by someone else (between Verizon, Sprint, Google, and a few others). Verizon made the best offer and showed the brightest future and the offer was accepted. Try and be slightly educated on a topic before you post on things you don't know joe....come on. We expect a little better from you.
