Why is verizon going to stop selling this phone soon. It is such a great seller. The phone is probably the best flip phone that verizon sells. I just don't get why they are going to stop selling this great phone.

Proving again that you don't work for the company. This phone has been in "close-out" status for a while now. And to answer your useless question, it was moved to close out because all phones have a life cycle and this ran its' course. The 8560 is replacing it, so the 8700 gets pulled. If you worked for the company, you'd know these things. If you had an ounce of cellular intelligence, you'd know these things. Now just stop posing useless questions.

Both of my sisters had this phone at one point. They were not very excited about it. Replacement after replacement kinda wears you down. Good Riddance

Ya...it was a hit or miss phone. Either great or problems. Of course, the metal casing proved a problem at times with over heating.

No clue.... I dont think LG continued the Shine Series abroad so the 8710 may be completely unrelated to the 8700.
