What can a Curve do that others can't?

I am tossing around the idea of getting a Curve. I know I do not need one for work and I don't really get that many "urgent" personal emails that would need my attention when I can't get to my home computer...so can Curve or Blackberry users tell me what benefits that the Curve would give me other than the obvious email. I do text a lot and talk on the phone as a phone and would probably surf the web if I had it....the other phone I am thinking of is an Env2 because of the full qwerty. I am just not sure having the Curve is worth the extra 29.99 a month if I don't really need email. Any non trolling thoughts? Thank you.

look... blackberry's are email monsters and that's what they are good at. It's their main function.

Now aside from that. I LOVE the keyboard on my curve... and I'm coming from an Env. it actually functions a lot bigger than it looks, that may not make sense, but if you use it enough it would. Web browsing is extremely nice. I use it mainly for weather updates, movie times, YOUTUBE clips (beavis and butthead is a much lol). Texting on the phone is great, just make sure you have a sdcard. The camera has a 5x zoom which the EnV2 doesn't have.

there are many other benefits to the curve, such as making your own ringtones, 3rd party applications, bb messanger and maps. If you're just looking for a phone with a full keyboard and you ...

I'm not really a fan of the curve. The new blackberry bold is going to be sweet. I use the 8830. Most people I work with at verizon wirless columbus oh use the 8830. Curve battery not as good and it just feels cheap.

The Curve main purpose is email...so if you don't need instant access to your email then you might not need a BlackBerry.

There are people like me who don't need email access but still enjoy having the Curve for other reasons like personal organization of my life, customization, Internet, cool third party apps, etc. It's an all around great phone and I would never go back to basic phone ever again. Just my opinion hope it helps.

If you are not planning on using the Curve as a Blackberry, you may want to lean toward a phone with a Qwerty keyboard to make texting easier (EnV2) if you want HTML and Qwerty- look into the Voyager or Glyde. Simply add the appropriate text plan and data package if needed and you will be set. But, if you want to have the Blackberry, you will be paying the $29.99 data feature and will need to add a text package as well.
Otherwise, there are more phones coming later this year and maybe one will fits your needs a little better.

I hope this was helpful.
Good luck with not getting any troll comments! I can smell them gathering now!

It's a small thing, but a big seller to me, you can use a regular earphone plug on the Curve instead of one of those 2.5 jobbies.

THe curve is a great phone, but only can decide if the additional cost of ownership is worth it for you. WE dont know what your financial situation. If you can afford it, I wouldn't think twice about getting the curve over the ENV2. But if money is an issue, just get the env2 and im sure you will be pretty happy with.

The curve is a more dynamic and versatile phone, but you are going to pay each month for enjoying that versatility. Like I said before, YOU need to make that choice and see what best fits your needs. Good Luck.
