EVDO Rev A Launch
I heard a rumor yesterday that Rev A is going to launch on July 1st. Anyone know if this is true? That would be sweet because then the new PTT network will also launch! Great things happening in Verizon land!

EVDO Rev A has already been deployed 100% for the past year I believe.
I think what you are hearing is that on July 1st we will start seeing devices that will be utilizing Q-Chat (the PTT that will be VoIP via EVDO Rev A ... wow that's a lot of acronyms and the like).

Rev A hasn't been fully launched actually. If it had been then we would already see the new PTT phones. The new PTT phones are pertty sweet though. Also I hear that USCC is going bye bye on July 1st. 😈

No. EVDO is 100% Rev A. Verizon had to license QChat from Qualcomm and develop phones for the new technology. The PTT technology of old didn't run on EVDO, it ran on 1x which is too slow by today's standards.
