don't think it's the tech you like. I think it's what the tech allows you to do, namely switch phones out easily. If CDMA used sim cards you would be singing its praises.

The main reason to have a cell phone is to make and receive calls. We are just now entering an area where wireless email and internet access is becoming the norm.

VZW competes on quality and not price. That is why the network quality is advertised the way it is. That is why their is a common UI. It is cheaper and easier to teach customer service employees one user interface for troubleshooting purposes. This also makes it easier for people that switch phones. You may not like it, but you aren't the average cell user. Like it or not, everybody on this site is pretty...

Yep. Its what the technology allows that I favor. Its far more then SIM cards. Being able to use ANY phone available anywhere in the world on the network. My last phone was a European Nokia.

For many people that is changing rapidly. People use their phones for far more than just making calls. I use my phone all day long and share ...

pay more?

this is how you are UNEDUCATED and always make people wanna slap the goat hair out your mouth.

ATT megabyte charges??? somewhere around 18 per megabyte

Sprint...close to 30

T Mobile....around 10 bucks

Verizon....oh....2 bucks.

Same plans as ATT, so you cant say we are more expensive in plans....oh yeah att has rollover, that YOU PAY FOR !!! and then 71% of the people who have rollover lose all their minutes after a year or never used them at all to begin with....so 71% of ATT consumers are paying more for something they dont use.

We just let you switch your plan whenever you want if you need more minutes...with no contract extensions. Yeah....thats meeting a customer need.

for the tech lame line...

And have had the capability for a long long time and guess what?.....It has not made a difference.

Paranoia is very restricting.

Next thing we will read is GSM was responsible for the Twin Towers...LOL

That's actually correct. Those 15 Saudis and 4 other Arabs who did the dastardly deed into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and the Pennsylvania field were from GSM countries, trained in GSM countries (Hamburg, Germany was the home of the major Al-qaida 9/11 cell), and no doubt spoke to their handlers on GSM phones both here and abroad. They also probably used throwaway GSM phones with untraceable SIMs.

Yes AvgJoe, GSM was absolutely responsible for facilitating the horrors of September 11, 2001.
