Verizon to Offer 802.11 Wi-FI

Is anyone aware of plans for Verizon to offer a PDA/Cell phone that will support 802.11 Integrated. I spoke with someone from Verizon and he blew off the question.

No they will not, Verizon discontinued Wi-Fi service last year because of the pending and now in progress EV-DO (Broadband Access) rollout which is not only faster but area wide and not restriced to a damn starbucks or other hotspots.
