So it looks like verizon is finally getting their act together with VVM. This is a great feature, especially for those of us who hate listening to voicemails!

Bad news, the service will cost a $1.99 as a get it now app.

Besides 3G and their mobile me service, it pretty much seems like the same phone. I guess they added GPS which is nice, but there is still alot left out. No note pad, No MMS, and I heard you still cant send texts to multiple people.

Its still a really cool device, and they have improved on the functionality, but I think I will take my chances with the thunder on a better network.

And im actually a little bored with my curve to, lol.

Right on I just get bored of verizon phones sometimes, and the web on the iphone is by far the best. it would be awesome if we really see the Thunder in Sep, doubt it tho. oh well back to never being satisfied 🙂

chris, there actually is a notepad on the iPhone right now and you can also send texts to multiple people (since like january)

Adding 3G is def the biggest thing with the new iPhone. the new software and the "App Store" are also a huge plus.

Now when they throw a CDMA chip in, then we are talking, right? 😎

can you, in laymen's terms, simply describe VVM?

VVM is when you can view your voicemail as if they were a text message. Its nice because you dont have to actually login to check your VM. Kind of a cool feature.

I thought that Visual Voicemail showed you all the voicemails that you have and allowed you to pick which one you want to listen to because it shows who it's from. I'm not so sure it actually spells out what the voicemail says.

I thought there were other services out there offering the same thing but at about $15 a month. $2 a momth doesn't seem as bad.

Some have complained about the little cost of $1.99...it could be worse, Alltel charges a whopping $5.99 for their Voice2TXT service, thats retarded!
