Does anyone think that this one might have been reception than the previous V and S models...my husband loved the ruggedness of both of those phones but ultimately had to give them up because the reception was poor. Also what about the new Moto that is suppose to be rugged? is it suppose to be weatherproof?

Yeah I hope so too. I think I might actually get the Boulder.....I am starting to hate the ole pearl. I like the fact that the phone can store up to 8gigs.

Training materials from Verizon break down the nitty gritty on just what makes its new EV-DO Rev. A-based push-to-talk network better than the outgoing 1xRTT-based system, and apart from a totally unnecessary cameo by the "Can you hear me now?" guy, it's pretty enlightening. First, we learn that users will now be able to rock 500 individual contacts, 100 group contacts, and 50 contacts per group, up from 150, 50, and 20, respectively. As we've known, it'll also support presence, meaning callers will know whether you're available to annoy everyone around you before they hit the button. The slides on the two launch devices -- the Motorola V750 Adventure and Casio G'zOne Boulder -- don't reveal much new information, but we do see here that the ...

I wonder if Verizon's EvDO PTT will work with Sprint's EvDO PTT?

Please tell me why gunny, not just a no it's not going to work. I know the 1xRTT PTT didn't connect Verizon to Sprint, due to voice and data running parallel, but this is rev.A we're talking about, VoIP, if I may add.

Oh I never claimed to know why. I believe in theory it could work easy np, but verizon is just being verizon i guess. shrug. it would be great if they did since sprint has 20 mill chirpers and verizon has well none lol. but i don't care i just want the phone for its Mill spec feature. I'm very curious how well PTT will work, I've used Nextel recently so I have a bench mark on what it should be....and since brew chat is qchat and the reports are favorable with qchat my hopes are high. but yeah lame that they will not cross network. hey even when i had nextel i only chirped the wife lol 🙂

Lol. It would be nice to see two big carriers share their PTT service. Guess we'll see. By the way, enjoy you're new G'zOned phone, I'm sure you'll enjoy the new one, as much as you did your old one. Cheers. 😉
