So all of Sprints phones can be used on Verizon in the Fall? How rich!!
The Iphone prices are terrible and I have said so. I am not an iphone fan. I could care less about the prices. No matter what they are people WILL buy that phone. Hell they paid $600 for a lot LESS iphone and stood in line for the privlege, They will do it again.
If Verizon can pull the wool over the eyes of 67 Million people with NO Phone/ Certainly the Iphone will do the same for ATT.

How is Att's great push to talk service?
"LOL"
Who the hell wants PTT? Unless you are in construction. I sure as hell don't want to carry around a Walkie Talkie.Actual phone calls are bad enough. You want a SHORTER LEASH?
Go for it.

I'm with you on that. I never understood the fascination behind PTT either.
I can see it for those teens who go to Magic Mountain and Boy Scout Groups, Construction workers. For those who need group contact. Thats about it. But hey I never saw the allure of texting either. I would rather actually talk to some one. If IM in a theater or somewhere where I cannot take calls I shut the phone off or leave it home

If it wasn't for text messaging, I'd never talk to anyone. Between school and work, I never have more than about 10 minutes of spare time at a time. The first text message I ever got from my mom was:

Well for the young and busy text messaging may be important. For the middle aged and retired not so much. We have nothing but time..LOL

as evidenced by your continued posting in this forum, for a carrier that you don't like. 🙄 🙄 🙄
Deal with it Sparky....

So ATT doesn't have a great PTT service that allows additional ways of communication? Is that what you are saying?
I don't know its not a service I am interested in. Maybe they do maybe they don't. My phone has it, My phone also has Video Calling. I don't use that either. Not being in the industry the oneupmanship means nothing. I am only concerned about that which I use.
PTT is a shorter leash in my world. I want the option of not answering or forwarding my calls. Not a walkie talkie. ATT does not have a lot of things. Like reliable service and great fidelity.
But the things they DO have trump those minor inconveniences.
So really it's not that ATT is a better carrier. You just don't like VZW's business practices. Not having a reliable service is a "minor inconvenience?" So what are cell phones for again???
Ladies and gentlemen....
I rest my case.

So you bash VZW continuously for UI and unlocked phones and blah blah blah...but your carrier doesn't even have reliable service!!!!

I have ALWAYS said ATT dropped my calls. I live in a marginal area. I make and receive all the calls I need to despite that. I have never missed an important call becasue of the network. Yeah I have had to redial a few times. Thats a minor inconvenience as compared to the phone choices and lack of interaction with Customer...

My contract is up and I am eligible for a upgrade. I want the Thunder, kinda have my mind made up..I want the Thunder...
What you think cwcanty?
I still wonder about the virtual keyboard (I send about 3000 messages a month) and how fast I can type on it. I think it will sell well, and hopefully verizon will keep thier promise and release the damn phone sometime in Q3.
And dont forget about the CDMA version of the bold in 2009....
Chris
I saw the Dare and although it is indeed a very nice phone with great promise. It just isn't my type of phone. I do alot of emailing for work and everyone now is starting to catch this Blackberry era.
I don't want the curve, cause I know about the Thunder.
They better release in Q3, would mess me up if they didn't. 🙂
I for got about the Bold, but that will be a minute before we see that on Verizon's end
