Employee accounts

Does anybody know what happens to an employee plan purchased phone if the line is disconnected within say a couple weeks or so of activation? The reason I'm asking is I'm thinkin about ditching my Verizon employee account and buying the new iPhone and wanted to just buy new phones on three new lines to give to some friends so they wouldn't have to renew their contracts to get new phones.

I figure that since Verizon is doing away with the low cost plans and forcing everybody to go the higher ones I may as well pay 20.00 more bucks for a great phone and live customer service (as opposed to the lame site they have for us to make changes in Vzweb). It is sad that although Verizon claims they are "more closely aligning the employee experienc...

The plans are 50% off and so are the features. I added a line and moved to the select fs plan and am paying about $10 more than I was before I changed to Nationwide. As for changes, you can do most feature changes on My Verizon now and soon we will be able to order equipment as well.
I guess I don't see your point about higher plans being "forced" on you.
As far as the delay in getting the orders completed by the Employee accounts team, how hard you you work if you knew your job was going to vanish? The more employees can do online, the less the "real" people are needed.
If you want the Iphone, enjoy! I don't see you getting by with only a $20 increase. You may want to re-do the math.

The phones you purchase are yours...but if you upgrade three lines and suddenly disconnect them all and those phones happen to show up on other people's accounts...you can probably kiss your job goodbye for participating in defrauding the company.

As for why it takes a week to get your equipment...there are what...60,000 employees? When a customer makes an order there are several thousand people that can process it. When an employee makes an order...there is maybe a few hundred or so. Yea it sucks, but too bad. Most changes can be done on My Verizon and even more will be available as well. As for them being closed on weekends....they used to be open 7 days and longer hours, at least in the northeast, but a review of the work complete...

I can certainly understand the need to get all employee plans on the new plans. It would be a nightmare to maintain a bunch of old plans. But I was forced into a higher monthly cost with fewer minutes and higher overage rates.

My complaint is about our employee discount on equipment and accessories. I see ELEU customers getting better deals on equipment and accessories than the VZW employees everyday. In the West area an employee can NOT receive their discount on accessories in the retail stores. We have to order it on-line, if its even available.

Why can't we have an employee discount card or standardized ID so that we can walk into any VZW retail store and get our discount on accessories and equipment?

If Wal-Mart the pla...

I agree with the discount card/id idea. While we are saving half off on the new plans, we pay the exact same overage rate as consumers, do not really have live customer service, and we have to wait a week or more either to receive a new phone or to have routine things done our accounts like adding/removing features. Seems like we are in fact paying premium for what we are getting.

Like I said earlier, I really hate how Verizon tries to sell increasing our rates to us by speaking glowingly about "aligning our experience more closely with that of consumers" and "adding value" to our service. Bull. If that were truly the goal we'd be able to upgrade in a store and have immediate customer service. I'm not gonna have any problem paying ...

Sounds like you're in the wrong area! In the northeast we can purchase accessories from any store that we don't work in, as long as we have our badge with us.

This change happened recently, so you might want to check out OneSource or an M&P to see if its the same for you!

I have recently reviewed the M&P. I noticed that other regions give the discount in the retail stores. But it specifically says NOT in the West area. God knows why????

Perhaps VZW will take some things from Alltel like consistency in policy across the company when it comes to things like this... 🤣
