Looking for a good and cheap back up phone?
Yes I just checked on my verizon and you can get the samsung SCH-U620 the slider with tv capability right now for $80 WITHOUT CONTRACT! I might get it just as back up if any of you guys like this phone better hurry up and buy it before they run out!

Actually...that's slightly incorrect. The full retail price of that phone (price without contract) is still over $150 (not sure on the exact cost). The phone is on sale for $80 with a 2 year agreement though.

just onto craigslist.com and find a phone in your area. You can prolly spend less than $50 and get a pretty good deal.

Actually phantom and Chris, sorry to call you on this, but in Infomanager, the u620 does show full retail price of $79.99. I work in a call center for web chat and a customer noticed this in the west as an upgrade for full retail and asked a consultant I work with about this. We couldn't believe it either, but it's true. It is in fact $79.99 at full retail.

I wouldn't mind getting one just to see what a slider is like to own. I've always had bars and flips and for $80 it's hard not to jump on it.
Does the u620 still have bad software issues though (I heard about the alarm going off at midnight every night)?
