Okay so here is the deal...

I work at verizon and have been reading these posts for a month and here is what I think since EVERYONE else says what they think as well..

1. Stop the bitching!!! I swear all I ever talk to is whiny people who think they can act like 5 year olds on a daily basis.. So you pay your bills on time??? YOUR SUPPOSED TO!!! do you call your car or insurance company and tell them you need a credit because you pay your bill on time and have never had an accident?? DUH.. sounds stupid? Imagine what we think when you call in?

2. okay so your eligible to upgrade, you get promo pricing!! nothing more! why does everyone think they deserve more because you are a customer?? that the promo pricing and its an electronic ...

OMG I totally agree!!!! I work for the chat service online for Verizon and they think I'm freaking customer care all the time... Some people do not realize how stupid they sound on the chats... I totally agree with everything you say.... DON'T FORGET!!!! It's a phone and it can't be perfect!!!! 🙂

I love that question... "whats the best phone".... GRRR.... IDK

I actually spoke with a customer one time who was disgusted that we didn't offer two-month bills, rather than printing a bill every single month. He was determined to only pay his bill every other month. He'd pay it in full, but only every other month.

Really, where do these people come from?

As for the promotional pricing, I realize that it's always good business to offer incentives for long-time customers in order for them to feel valued, but I don't necessarily feel that anyone deserves a better level of service entirely based on their length of service with any given company. You know what I hate having to hear?

"I've been a customer with you for eight years. I have five lines with you. My father, mother, brothers, sisters, uncl...

Although I'd say 90% of our customers are excellent folks we have that 10% who think that for some reason they "deserve" whatever they ask for. Couple of my favorite:

1) A man called in because he had paid his last bill 10 days late and did not only want us to waive that late fee but also to put a note on the account that we would waive all his late fees in the future since he'd been with us for 3 whole years. He actually escalated after I told him I'd waive one but only as a one-time courtesy. Obviously the supervisor told him the same thing.

2) Another customer called in because he dropped his phone and it didn't work anymore and he wanted a free replacement (no insurance of course). He told me in all seriousness that Verizon sh...
