Question about the Premium plan and the DARE

Hi all,

Does anyone know exactly what data is unlimited with the premium plan concerning web browsing?

I know that it states unlimited web2.0 browsing. With my Dare, does that include the WWW and HTML pages too? I checked my account usage and it's saying I'm near the limit, and that's only from two days of dinking around.

Does the NAVIGATOR or EMAIL that comes with the Premium plan eat up my alloted MB usage?

I searched the verizon site but nothing was very clear.

Thanks in advanced for your input.

With the Premium plan you get access to the VCAST Vpak which gives you unlimited MB usage so using Mobile Email, VZNavigator and Mobile Web won't even matter since you have no limit.
As for data for a smartphone it's still an additional $29.99/mo.
The Dare uses Mobile Web 2.0 so that other data plan is null and void for that phone.

rynels....thanks for chymin in. With that said....I'm safe surfing away on my DARE.

I haven't dealt with this whole billiing thing in a while. I shared with the customer service people (totally nice, cool and helpful btw) what I wanted and they set me up with this plan. It sounded reasonable so I just went with it. I don't even see my plan on their web site, wierd?!?!?

Strange, it should be listed on the VZW website.

It is a great plan. IF you're looking to take advantage of the navigation, email, mobile web and messaging, you're saving a ton byt going Premium instead of adding those features individually.
Enjoy.

Yeah, I thought it was strange too. None of the prices add up. It's a 700 min Premium family plan for 3 phones but with the premium part only on the DARE. The other two (flipshot and KRZR) only get the unlimited text/pix/vid part of the deal. The DARE line is charged as $110 with the other two as $9.99 per line. Then we get %20 off access charge on the main line (110-22=88 +9.99+9.99 for a total of about $10😎 This fit our needs perfectly and was cheaper that the strait up 3 phone 700min premium plan for $169.98.

See if you can figure that one out (if you're bored and have nothing else to do.....I don't)

Well the 1st 2 lines are included with you unlimited Vpak Nav etc etc. The 3rd line is another 29.99 if you want the same thign for your dare. if you paying 9.99 for the 3rd line your only getting a select plan out of it (unlimted txt)

You discount is only for the primary line in addition. Any services you add, packages etcetc are not included. So the 110 is part of your discount that it.

Yeah, I finally figured it out. The base price for the premium family share plan is $110. Add each additional line for $29.99 and that's how you get the $169.98 price for three lines as listed on the web site. What they don't tell you on the website is that the additional lines don't have to be premium also. Our second and third lines were added as select lines rather than premium for just 9.99 instead of 29.99. This was a nice option for exactly what we needed.

Just a heads up to some folks out there.....you can apparantly mix and match.

This may seem trivial to most, but it wasn't so clear on the site (for me).

they advertise that way because most customers dont look into it that much and will pay the $170. It is mentioned under the plans as an * that secondary lines can be added as select for $20 less than what is listed for the first 2 lines.

also any sales rep with half a mind can tell you about all this and get you setup on it
