Well

I got the Blackberry and have had it for about a week. I can tell you that this phone is probably going back.

My Gripes:

I cannot for the life of me setup my gmail account to synch with this....No matter what I do it will not work.

Secondly and most importantly the phone is way too small in my big hands. Its hard for me to navigate around with the pointer. Although the overall design of the phone I just wish it was a bit bigger. Now with this all said can someone point to the right direction to pick a new phone that has greate features and a qwerty keyboard? I was looking at the DARE but am not sure....Anyone have any suggestions?

It's actually pretty easy to set up gmail. You simply put your user name and password.

Yeah I tried that and was still not getting my emails. I am going to switch back to an actual cellphone. I cant deal with this thing being too small in my hands as well.

its not the blackberry its gmail. you have to login to gmail on the computer and set the preferences to allow for push email. then you will be fine. ive had to do it for customers in the past.

check out this thread as well...make sure you have your gmail setup correctly with the BIS server.

For the gmail settings...

-Login into gmail

-Click on settings in the upper right corner. -Then click the "forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab. Make sure that pop is enabled for all mail.

-I also have IMAP enabled, but I dont know if that really means anything.

Hope this helps, cause the curve is def better than the dare. And you might have keyboard issues on the Dare as well.
