How long does it take to get hired?
Ok, so I had my phone interview on the 9th, then I had my personal (face to face) interview on tuesday of last week. I think I should had heard if I'm going to get the job by now. What do you guys think?

it takes forever. its agonizing. dont worry about it seriously theres no chance you would of heard back after just a week.
vzw always takes like 2-4 weeks in between communications. they will probably call you in a few weeks for a phone interview, then after that more time will go by, more phone interviews, more time. eventually you will get an offer. it takes forever tho so dont be discouraged.
if you get a letter in the mail that says thanks but we arent interested at the time, then you can worry.

I already had my phone interview (i don't know if you read my whole post) I had it on the 9th, then they called me for the face to face interview (I had it the 15th) But that's the last time I heard from them.
So, to recap, I applied on June 26, first call was on Jul 2nd, then another one on the 9th, and the "real" interview on the 15th...
This job is suppose to start in 5 weeks... don't you think I should had heard something by now?

there will probably be more phone interviews after your face to face. 5 weeks is alot of time they can waste 4 and still have a week to get your drug test done.

It can take a while to get hired...especially depending on what area (some HR's are slower than others to complete). Also, it depends on the position you interviewed for. Remember, I doubt you're the only one that applied and you can only tolerate so many interviews at a time. It's just as long internal too...just so you know what to look forward to 😁 But...either way, while the position may "start" in 5 weeks...yeaaaaa you still have about 5 weeks of training to sleep through, so enjoy that! And remember...you will have to pass the drug test...so.... 😎 and finally...you'll receive one of two letters. Either "sorry...not interested" or "welcome aboard"

If I recall correctly, it took a week or two for them to initially contact me after applying. I went in for an interview maybe the next day, doing all three interviews and some sort of computer-based test in the same day. I was hired maybe a week later, if that. Granted, they were hiring a lot, since several call centers had been built around that time.
