Traveling with Verizon
I know I will get grief for this, but I was very disappointed that my VZ phone did not work in Europe. I knew in advance that it would not work, but when I saw how well other phones worked there, and I knew that it was technologically possible, I was disappointed that my phone was useless. I knew I could take a rented phone with me, but since I was visiting several countries, that became expensive. It shouldn't be such a big deal for my phone to work.

You don't even have to "rent" it, Verizon has a Global Traveler program if you are traveling for 21 days or less and return the phone within 30 days. They will let you borrow it, for FREE!
