Can someone please tell me the advantages of buying a phone from a corporate store instead of from an agent? Or is it better to buy from an agent?
Thanking everyone in advance.

Honestly it depends on the agent. Most agents either match or beat the corp stores on equipment prices. The phones come from the same place and everything else. Its up to you on where you feel most comfortable.

What about warranty swap outs?
...
Corp usually has them all in stock. Agents sometimes not. Once again all depends on the agent.

Corporate stores are going to be better for swaps.
As for agents, some have extra charges and extra forms to fill out (I work for one of them) so you may be able to get away from some of the shenanigans at corporate.
I've been told that we're more helpful at our indirect location.

I've worked at a verizon agent before working directly for verizon (4yrs-recently left) and it only makes a diference if the agent is shady. As long as the phone you're buying is new you'll be ok. Verizon will warranty it from the moment you purchase it for 12mo.
I just upgraded myself and went to an agent less than a mile from the corporate store bacause it was $50 less which I used for accessories.
Like anything else, shop around

if they are a premium agent don't worry about it, you might also check that the phone has a mail in rebate, if they are offering you a rebate from Verizon then the phone was purchased through verizon. You might even tell us the name of the agent you were looking at and we might be able to give you their reputation or things to watch for

they are owned by a company called Moorehead Communications...One of Verizon's largest agents, they have something like 180 stores and work with 200 more sub agents..I have bought from them and would continue to buy from them. On a side note if you want insurance they have the best protection in the Industry for any carrier IMO. You pay one flat fee upfront and if you ever want your phone replaced for any reason you can go in the store, file a claim and get a new phone over the counter..no 1800#, no refurb, and the cool thing is this. I had an ENV, it was all beat up and I still had some time left on contract,I went in the store and paid $39.99 and they gave me a new ENV2. So if you are carrying asurian that might be a real option. Long stor...

I actually on the other hand would totally warn people to stay away from The Cellular Connection. They are a premium agent and probably the shadiest agent that Verizon has. I can't believe some of the things they get away with and are allowed to remain a premium agent. It may not be the company itself but some of the employees are the worst I've even seen. I'm surrounded by their stores and hear horror stories from customers every single day.

The reason I ask is I used to work in the indirect channel so depending on the state and area I could probably name 2-4 to stay away from. Also From bouncing around between stores it is funny because your local competition often says the same thing about you. I would go into one store and hear "I can't believe this crap they did down the street at xx Cellular" Then when I go to the other store I hear something similar directed back at them without mentioning the complaint against them. Just something I picked up over time that upset customers seem to exaggerate and not tell you the whole truth or situation so a lot of times their bashing of the other local store is not the whole story. I always found that interesting. But in general I would ...

🤣 Yup, you are surrounded, I don't know number but they have a lot of stores since that is where they originated. from traveling I will say this, If you think they are bad you have no idea man, You are missing out on some fun competition from other large premium retailers in ILL/ Wisc/ Missouri and separate ones in Ohio/Michigan/Pa. I can tell you this if any of them took over the Cellular Connections by you, you would be missing them!
