A "milspec" phone is a contradiction of sorts.There is little point to having military specifications for a cell phone but never issuing one to a soldier. If I re-enlisted all the way through a 20 year career I never would have been able to sign a hand receipt for one. Good luck with that POS Boulder -- worst phone I've ever used. I waited eagerly for its release thinking "finally, a G'zOne model that isn't the size of a Speak-n-Spell."

It arrived last Thursday, looks great, seems rugged and well-built -- but performs horrifically. The battery has the shortest life of any cell I've owned in the past 6-8 years (which makes absolutely no sense for a phone for people outdoors who might go camping for the weekend, etc.).

Worse, the earpiece sound is impossible to deal with. In the three days I've used it, I've had to get people to repeat what they've said multiple times because it sounds like muffled garbage. I am by far not the only one dealing with this.
