OK, so I'm an Electrical Engineering student with a strong desire to design telecommunications systems one of these days. As such, I keep my eyes open on the industry's websites to see what they're looking for in new employees in the technical fields. I thought some of the crowd might find this interesting:

I'll post the relevant parts of the job description here in case the link stops working when the position gets filled:

I think it's just a job for what Verizon is already doing. Most phones use the same UI with some minor differences, like the Gleam for example. Same Verizon UI, but it brings a few unique things to the table. You could say the same for most of their phones, including their touch screen devices. This job is probably aimed more towards customizing the UI for each phone, but Verizon already does that. I don't expect many changes in the UI.

I've adjusted to the standard VZW UI, but I'd definitely like to go back to something similar to the E815 interface (which I'm sure was common to other Motorola phones, or so I'd assume). From what I've heard, the company is definitely considering at least the option of offering a choice between UI's (maybe in the form of flashing the phone).

I certainly feel that the VZW UI has its fans (namely customers who would otherwise hesitate to upgrade solely because they hate learning new user interfaces), so I don't feel that it should go away completely. It really wouldn't be all that bad with some improvements.

Yeah, I thought it was a cool device. Besides a few changes in the graphics and animations, the UI is very similar to that of the Voyager.
