i think its a little ridiculous that verizon will charge you $9.99 a month for vz nav but also charge you MB charges each time you use it. is it me or is that a little retard. vz nav is $9.99 its really $25 bc you need vcast also.

I've used it to search for restaurants, local places, etc. In order for it to do that. it would have to use the Internet and send out and receive data, so why wouldn't they charge for data. That was the main reason for me getting the Prem plan. I don't have to worry about any surprise charges on my bill. I know I am covered for any and everything.

but see the point is i subcribe to the service to get all of those feature so why should anyone with it be charge for mb. the whole point is find directions so naturally its gonna send and recieve data. the premium plan is great if you use vcast and unlimited text. not for someone who ust texts verizon and calls verizon.

I'm sorry but I don't know. I have the Prem Plan. So all my services are incl.

I usually use the Internet on my phone when looking up movie times and weather. I've never used VZ Navigator to do that but I wonder is that separate from using the navigation system, and does that have to do with the charges.

Oh, and not to sound mean, but the person who told you that had no idea what they were talking about. Only Get It Now (as well as certain apps downloaded from there) and Mobile Web should result in MB charges.

You aren't charged MB usage for using VZ Navigator. You only get charged for the initial download, as well as any actual updates to the software. You don't get charged MB usage whenever you're using it.
