DARE Question
My New Every Two agreement is not due until mid January 2009, but I would like to upgrade early. If I upgrade now to the DARE, I would have to pay full retail which I think is about $415. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new DARE phone at a cheaper rate? Are phones sold on E-bay reliable? Any help you can provide is much appreciated, thanx...

if you are the primary line on a share plan or are on a 49.99+ plan and have had your phone atleast 12 months you can annual upgrade. if you are a secondary you will have to wait. or you can pay retail 409.99.
you can try ebay or craigslist or something also. maybe add a line for 9.99 and get it for the $199 price, put your old phone on the other line and give it to mom or someone to use in an emergency? dont know.

I'm so glad I found this question, because I also would like to upgrade to the Dare and am not eligible until July 09 for my next upgrade. You mentioned an annual upgrade price...do you know what the discount is on that? Thanks so much

You have to be on a plan at least $49.99 and then you get the standard 2 year pricing on the upgrade. An Annual Upgrade is also going to have a fee of normally around $20 with it.
