Probably coming back to VZW....have a music question.

I've been with Cingular/AT&T now for about 18 months. Without going into all the typical bashing of the other network, let's just say that it was a mistake and I'm pretty sure I'll be back with Verizon in February. Anyhow, my question is about music on a Verizon phone. I haven't decided which VZW phone I want yet, but I'm leaning toward the ENV2. Do I have to purchase music through Verizon, or is there a way to transfer MP3s from my PC to the phone?
-Thanks.

Memory card w/reader. Fastest, easiest, most efficient way.

So I can just drag-n-drop music files to the memory card, pop it in the phone, and they will play? 🙂

make sure you format the card first and the audio file name should be no longer than 26 characters (i think).

Will do. My son has an extensive collection of DRM-free MP3s that he bought from amazon.com. If I can put them on my phone it would be great (they are already paid for).

yes but be sure to put the memory card into the phone and save something from the phone to the card. the phone will create the folders for you like my_music put all the songs in the my_music folder and DO NOT use sub folders. the phone will sort them out but if you put them in sub folders it will not recognize them.

I assume you mean my SE W300i? The PHONE has been great...no complaints. It's the service that I have serious issues with. Live and learn.

Yeah, I really like At&T's phones, rate plans, and customer service. It's just the coverage that has me wanting to switch back to Verizon. You can have the coolest phone in the world, but if you can't get a signal to make a call it's useless.

I agree you should go back to Verizon. Give up your phone. Sell it on Ebay. ATT will survive. Don't sweat it.
