Quick question about EnV2

With the EnV2 closed, can you scroll through your contacts, select one, and call it? Or does it have to be opened to do that?
Thanks

Yes you can access the contact list while the phone is closed. It does not have to be open to make a call.

You CAN scroll through your contacts and call a person without opening the phone. You can also access your bluetooth menu, my music, recent calls, and messaging.

A nice shortcut is if you press the (up arrow) button. That would take you to your contacts automatically. Prssing the down arrow button takes you right to your messages.

That's great news..thanks! I guess I should just forget about it for a while. I can't switch to Verizon for 5 more months and I'm just driving myself crazy with anticipation. 😕

While you can scroll through your Contacts as mentioned above, the font on the front screen is pretty small compared to the font on the inside screen.

Using voice dialing from the front screen is a very useful alternative. You just press the CLR key and say "Call Matt" and Matt's phone number will be dialed automatically.

LOL..yeah, in theory. I have to laugh at voice dial technology. I agree that it has gotten much better, but it still has it's moments like:

Me: "Call Bob"

Phone: "Call Mom..is this correct?"

Me: "No. Call BOB"

Phone: "Call Home...is this correct?"

Me: "NO! CALL BOB!!"

But..like I said, each phone I get seems to be a little better at it than the previous one.

Seriously though, thanks for that info. If the voice dial works well on that phone it might become my favorite way to use it!
