question for verizon employees:

I work right now for Corporate AT&T and have the oppurtunity to move to Verizon as ASSISTANT RETAIL SALES OPERATIONS. I was wondering what the job is like, and also what employee benifets they provide. At at&t I had my own line that was paid for as well as 2 lines that I only had to pay for features that I put on.

thanks for the info!

Inventory Care Specialist...you maintain the inventory at a store, including all grunt work of end of day inventories to make sure all equipment is accounted for. You do transfers between stores as well as shipments to the warehouse of used materials. You also check in the new shipments and take part in display changes and inventory nights however many times per month. It is an easy job and the hours are good...you MAY be required to go on the floor for customer care at times, depends on the store.

Benefits wise...you pay for all phones and all plans at a discounted rate...health benefits are quite nice and 401k blah blah blah blah...can't tell you everything or it spoils the surprise!!!

ASO does more then just inventory. The also ensure audit compliance...which basically means they make sure reps are discounting correctly, entering orders correctly, doing exchanges correctly...etc.

You're usually not customer-focused though your interaction with customers doesn't completely go away. You get to be organized and work with management and corporate consultants on store operations without being accountable to sales performances (as a manager would be accountable for the ASO's performance as well as customer services and sales).

If I could have started as an ASO, I would have. I worked in a store in sales and performed the ASO duties for two years due to staffi...
