Helpful CS, THANKS

I contacted VZW CS through my handset late in the evening on Sat. I recently activated a Treo I bought from eBay and the new VM indicator was stuck ON. I tried everything I could think of, including toggling the notification in the VM system and a hard re-set of the device.

What I didn't try was toggling the VM indicator off, soft reset, toggling on and then soft reset. When I called CS they re-provisioned my VM account with no success. A call back got me to the data support people (they have helpful people there after 6 on a Saturday?!), they suggested the toggle/reset/toggle/reset which had not been previously suggested. It worked.

Thanks again...

cool story! Their tech support is pretty solid, and I have also had good success using them.

Very odd. Usually all you have to do is leave yourself a voicemail and then delete that voicemail and that will take care of the VM indicator.
