if you are stuck on verizon then its a good choice, better than most their phone. i got one it sounds good, it froze and rebooted on my a few times but over all i was happy. if you don't use ptt than its a royal pain in the asss because the ptt button always launches the music. you can lock the phone to prevent that but you constantly have to remember which is another pain in the ass. it ain't water resistant which is stupid for a mill spec phone, and i don't know how mill spec this phone really is, i dropped mine just once at costco and the battery door and battery fell off. the battery cover is cheap and doesn't fit well. i finally gave up on the phone and got the Renegade! You have to make sure the battery door closes all the way. You probably didn't have it on right. Once you fit it on the phone you have to snap each side near the bottom and it will then be sealed tightly.

yeah i know that you have to snap the sides on man, but with the extended battery cover the sides don't snap on! you can pull up the thin ass cover and it falls off easy.
