I downloaded DATAPILOT yesterday and uploaded some photos from my PC to my LG-VX4500 phone. The phone has the ability to display photos but is not a camera phone. I tried to change my wallpaper on my cell phone to one of my photos I uploaded but the phone will not let me display the photo as wallpaper. Apparently I can only use the photos I uploaded for picture caller id. I think this is very wrong! I have to download a program and pay a subscription fee to GET IT NOW or BREW, then I have to upload my photos to an internet site, then I have to download the photo to my phone from the internet site and then I can use the photo as wallpaper. During this process I am also using my peak minutes from my cell phone plan. Now am I stupid or d...

You’re not being mean. I appreciate feed back of all types. I do not believe this is a dead issue. I am new to these forums and it has opened my eyes to a lot of stuff. My point is this: the phone stores photos and I purchased the phone as a replacement and paid full price. I purchased the program that allows me to upload my photos to the phone. Everything works till I try to manipulate my photos on my phone the way I want. Verizon has stopped me from doing so because they want me to pay a fee and take unnecessary steps to accomplish what I want. When someone or something does something to you that you feel is wrong you should take up for yourself if you feel strongly about it. I know this is a small problem but Verizon sells this ...

don't want to be mean, but I will be brutally honest. First off, I think these types of things are really a dead issue. Most of us are familiar with VzWs stance on such things, and most of us agree they should change. BTW, you don't have to use your peak minutes when doing this stuff, you choose to, you can do it during off-peak time. And the "complaint" that you filed will probably be replied to with a cookie cutter response that won't make you happy.

…I posted my message to help those who were not aware of this issue with Verizon and BREW so they would be well informed and not get caught off guard like me.…

Great point phonefool.

Great point phonefool.

This forum is for everyone and not just the few regulars who may be jaded by repetitive posts.

Interestingly, I wonder if the same people who try to silence the negative critiques would be so quick to ask/tell posters to censor themselves if these repetitive posts were glowing reviews of Vzw service instead of understandably bad experiences. We're not talking about the same question being asked over and over again, we're talking about the variety of instances in which admitedly bad business policies annoy and turn different people off to Vzw in different ways.

As someone who also feels mislead by Vzw I have to wonder how anything will even have a chance to improve or chang

You are no phony BigPhony and you speak the truth very well. Like I said, I am new and did not know this subject was discussed over and over again in this forum. Last time I checked there were about seventy pages of threads in the Verizon forum alone. I haven’t had time to read them all, lol. Thank you for your thoughts.
