Palm Centro Question
I am looking for a "grown up" phone with a full Qwerty. I really do not need access to my personal email all the time so I think that BB would be overkill. I do text a lot and use my phone as a phone...so reception is important to me. I don't particularly need the smartphone abilities but the phone is not that expensive so it's no big deal to have them on there....
I am wondering how Centro users like the reception, call quality and texting ability. Also if I did not get the data plan can I still send and receive pic and text messages? Thank you.

data has nothing to do with MMS on any phone.
The best qwerty boards are as follows
1. BB curve
2. BB 30
3. LG envy 2
4. Palm treo
5. Palm centro
6. HTC 6800
7. Samsung Alias
8. Blitz (very low end)

The samsung i760 also has a very nice keyboard, the centro is TOO tiny and close together

I would recommend going and using a Centro in a store. The keypad on it is VERY small.
I much prefer my Curve keyboard to any qwerty phone VZW has.

I don't know why everyone bashes this phone. It's a great little phone, the keyboard is tiny but very easy to get used to, the battery life is decent, and you can block data and not have it if you don't want it. But no, if you block data, you will not be able to send and receive pics. That is one downfall.
