Verizon vs Sprint in NJ
Anyone here have had both services in the past year in NJ? I have been with Verizon forever, but thinking about switching to sprint for the Touch Diamond along with awesome priceplan savings and features ($129 for family plan on 2 phones with data on both phones, as well as unlimited Text, Pics, TV, and music downloads from Sprint Music site). Currently my verizon family plan of 2 phones is totaling $179 ($89 for 1400 min and $90 for 2 data plans) plus I dont get unlimited text, pics, muisic and tv. That would propbably run me another $40.
Dont get me wrong, I think Verizon's service is the best in the nation (hands down). But am I going to get that much worse service if I switch to Sprint (both on CDMA) and save $50 - $90 a month? Is it ...

depends on what county you are in Ocean Mommoth and most of the Northern counties are well covered cumberland salem and so forth arent as much, they show coverage on their maps but i noticed alot of holes when i had sprint down there. ( this is going back a couple years but sprint hasnt been known to spend money increasing service )

I have a BB Curve on Verizon, and my coworker has a BB Pearl on Sprint. Our job takes us to different locations all across the state. We go back and forth with friendly trash talking about whose service is better. In northern NJ, such as Hudson/Jersey City, our service seems to be equal. I live in west central jersey, and I have full bars at my house where he has one or two bars. When we are down in southern jersey in Salem, I get okay signal and he usually doesn't get any signal. I think a lot of it for you will depend on where in the state you live, and if you travel very much. In my unscientific research, Verizon is clearly better. It's up to you whether it is $50 per month better.
