New upcoming Phone releases for VZW
Hi guys.
I just got a postcard in the mail yesterday notifying me of the upcoming BB storm release. Come november/december, I'll definitely be in the market for a new phone. as it stands, I'll most likely upgrade to Storm from BB8830.
Having said that, everytime I get a new phone, like few months later they release couple new ones. I also know around christmas time, they like to release bunch of new phones.
So can someone please clue me in as to what the new upcoming possible phone releases are? rumor or not?
Also, should I wait til right after the christmas to get a new phone? I have a free upgrade I've been waiting and waiting to use.

I have seen on PDAdb.net that the Samsung i910 Omnia is expected to be released in October of 2008. I know that this is specualtive, but I definitely think that this fall is a safe assumption. This phone is really awesome looking from all of the reviews!

Unfortunately, regardless of what you decide to buy or when you decide to get it, there will ALWAYS be something better and sleeker only 3 to 5 months away. This is the cellular industry, after all.
The only way to really play the game looking for the greatest handset out there is to never, ever actually buy one- which defeats the whole point of wanting a killer phone.
We're all in the same boat on this one. This isn't the automotive industry where every company releases their new warez once a year, about the same time as all their competitors and then gives you a year to decide what you want while delivering NOTHING new to the market for 10 or 11 more months.
That will never, ever happen in cellular. Things are way to competitiv...

LOL i hate when customers say that! YOU get the 2yr price and mabey a Ne2 credit and mail in rebate.....So depending on the phone ITS NOT A FREE UPGRADE! 😈

Probably a dumb question but will it need a data plan? Im sick of these wifi enabled phones that need data plans.

The only phone you MUST get a data plan on is a Blackberry. I don't believe any blackberry's have wifi....
