Verizon vs. AT&T

I currently have AT&T, and I hate it, the coverage is spotty at best. I can be driving down the road and my phone will go in and out of service. So my question is, Is Verizon's coverage better?

My best friend has an EnV from Verizon and I have to use her phone all the time because mine doesn't have signal. So my question, is it just my area or does Verizon have a good coverage area?

I have also heard that Verizon is expensive, I really don't have that kind of money to spend 300 dollars a month on a phone bill, so is there a plan, that I can get that has Unlimited text to everyone on any carrier, thats in the price range, of $65-$80 a month? I text the most, so I don't need too many minutes either. and I don't need the internet on m...

To answer your questions, 1) Both carriers have great coverage. Your best bet is to try it for 30 days. If you find the service is not up to your liking port your number back or to a dif carrier and the ETF would be waived. 2) Verizon and AT&T rates are identical. 3) Unlimited TXT, PIX and VID msgs with 450 mins is 59.99/mo. And lastly, the Dare does not require the data package.

Hope this helps..

On average VZW has a more reliable network. ATT network is about as big as VZW in most areas however they way they deploy there network is wacked on some places.

It all depends on what you want for a phone and plan. You may find that swiching phones on ATT will clear up reception issues. The same will ring true with VZW.

The plans are about the same for both ATT and VZW. It all depends on what works for you. Dont let a salesman try and push you into a contract or phone if you dont feel it will serve your needs.

Also if you get a Dare its stupid NOT to get the data package. I know its some extra $$$ a month but its well worth it.

The coverage of VZW is better I think. Alot of places I go I usually have better service than those with ATT, better quality too. Besides, after VZW aquires Alltel then VZW will definately have better coverage and more customers (good for IN calling). As for the cost, yes VZW and ATT has about the same prices. But once you get into more features and stuff on your plan you'll see that ATT actually cost more! I compaired the two myself. I calculated the cost of Verizon's Premium Plan and put the exact same features on a AT&T plan and the ATT plan came out more, not a lot but still more. So all this crap about VZW being more expensive (maybe at one time was true, I don't know) isn't true now. Even if it is true, I always say, you get wh...

My friends with AT&T often borrow my phone because they "don't have service." IMHO AT&T has better phones, but what good is a phone if you can't make a call or you drop calls all the time? Consumer reporting magazines consistently rate Verizon better than AT&T. You can always give it a test run and go back to AT&T if you don't find it meets your needs. Cost wise, probably about the same. Good luck!

YES Verizon as a whole is much better than AT&T coverage wise. You will notice Verizons superior network advantage especially when you drive into rural areas, even in urban areas Verizon is the better choice with a much more consistent signal. I'm in Chicago and I tried AT&T myself and all I got was dropped calls, static, and garble. Yes I tried 3 different AT&T phones so it is most certainly AT&T's poor network. So in short ABSOLUTELY Verizon is the better network without question.

That would be an excellent move switching to Verizon as I'm positive you would notice a major difference in not only call quality but signal strength
