I'm torn between Sprint and VZW. Both offer BB curves but SPRINT offers more features for less $$. I also hear that when sprint can't hit their towers then just grab a VZW tower. SO wouldn't the coverage be just as good??

That's not exactly how roaming works, think of it like this the sprint phone has what's called a PRL (preferred roaming list) that directs that phone to use the towers, let's say you are in an area with great verizon coverage, poor sprint coverage, and medium alltel coverage the PRL would tell the phone to use the sprint tower even if the verizon signal is much better (to save roaming costs of course) then if the sprint coverage dropped off then the PRL might say use that medium signal alltel tower (maybe alltel and sprint have a better roaming rate structure, this is all theoretical mind you) and then if the alltel coverage went bad then the PRL would tell the phone to use the verizon tower...so no, if you have sprint you won't get the same...

Agreed. I wish more people understood how that worked. In my area we have both Sprint and Verizon. Sprint has a horrible signal. The people never go on to Verizon here if the have a Sprint phone. Usually if you are in a Sprint area you won't roam on Verizon no matter how bad your signal is. If you're in an area that has Verizon and no Sprint, that's when you would roam on to Verizon's network. Think of it like this. If Sprint offers service there, you're stuck with them, no matter how bad the service is.
