BB Storm question
Has any information been posted on the battery for the BB Storm? I am sure with the great screen I keep reading about, that battery life might be an issue. Will it have a removable battery, or is it fixed like the iphone? Also, probably WAY too early, but will there be an extended battery available? I love my Curve, but a Storm with a longer lasting battery sounds too good to pass up. Thanks for any info.

Removable battery has been confirmed. If RIM doesn't make an extended battery, some 3rd party company will so I wouldn't worry about going to long without one.

My Curve has so-so battery life. Sometimes I work in an area that isn't great on signal, so I think the battery drains trying to acquire a signal. I saw a Seido extended battery for my Verizon Curve, but I was told it would void the phone warranty if I used it. I haven't had the best of luck with vzw customer service locally, so should I have an issue, I didn't buy it not wanting to take that chance. Will a 3rd party battery void the Storm's warranty as well?

the battery should be pretty solid. Its a 1400mah battery, which is fairly large and the biggest of any blackberry to date. It will certainly make it through 1-2 days of medium-heavy usage.

Worst case, if you are having issues with the phone, before taking it into a store just put the oem battery in. It will be impossible for them to tell you were using a 3rd party battery.

Be careful with after market batteries. If it is not a RIM battery or a battery that came with an insurance replacement device, it can void the warranty of the device. If you use the extended battery and you take it in to be serviced, just put back on the original battery.
