My wife has the Motorola RAZR with Verizon service. The Verizon site doesn't offer it anymore. Are any of their current phones thin and compact like the RAZR?

Go to Target, they have Verizon prepaid RAZRs, just pick one up and call in and have Verizon activate the phone on your line! It should work!

Prepaid phones (ie Phone in a box) are generally not allowed onto a post-paid line until they have been on an active prepay account for at least 6 months.

while this is true verizon is cheap. they took backstock of razrs and jukes and threw them into prepaid packages to try to sell them. so go to walmart, buy the prepaid razr. call it in, the esn is on the outside of the box. if it works, then open that bad boy up and activate it. if not, take it back to wally world and find one that works.

one. you cant activate a pre-paid phone on to a contract until you have at least had it for 3 months.

two. razr sucks. period. get a moto 755 or a moto 750 or even the razr 2 first.

three. never listen to anyone from att since they are perhaps the most uneducated reps in th industry by a LAND SLIDE.

The Motorola W755 and Motorola Adventure are two phones that Verizon currently offers that are fairly similar in size and shape of the RAZR. The Adventure is more of a rugged phone, but it has been a good seller and the customers really like it. Battery life is excellent, voice quality is outstanding and it still has the MP3 player and a 2MP camera.

Battery Life on the 750 is awful. MAYBE a full day with average talking.

Only worst battery life on a phone is the boulder.

Do you have PTT activated on your phone? That will significantly lower your battery life...

You don't want a razr.

If thinness is what you are going for, the 755 and 750 by motorola are similar. The new Chocolate3 is thin as well.

Believe it or not, the EnV2 is just about the same size as the RAZR, it just looks bigger because of the design (it is a rectangle without the tapered edges)

The new LG5500 also looks like it will be about the same size as the RazR.

If you want to find a RAZR or RAZR 2 or anything else without worrying about walmart prepaid stuff go to www.motorola.com/us and click on the Store tab at the top and find the device you want (making sure you pick the one for Verizon) and order it through Motorola directly. They'll ship it to your address. In some cases you can find devices CHEAPER through Motorola than Verizon. I found out that currently you can order the Motorola Rapture on the Motorola website for a cheaper price than from a Verizon store (if full retail price).
