Verizon's M2M covers systems that are not owned by Verizon. In fact I think Verizon's M2M is larger in area than Cingular's.

Yep. And Verizon doesnt charge an added $10/month for unlimited M2M, the way Cingular does for its local plans.

I just checked cingular's website and they offer free m2m minutes on local plans $39.99 - $84.99. Are you sure you are right or is that just in your area they charge $10 for m2m. If so give me your zip code so I can see for myself.

Sure thing. Type in 90012 (Los Angeles) or 10022 (New York). Be sure youre hittin the View All link and then the Region link, otherwise youre lookin at national plans.

Bingo, sure enuff, Cingular charges 10 bucks/month for M2M on local plans. I'm sure its in lots of places other than LA or NY too, if not everywhere. For the heck of it I tried 75209 (Dallas- Fort Worth). Same thing- 10 bucks o' month for M2M on local Cingular plans

Only National plans and when I typed in my home twon zip code which is miami, it comes up they have regional plans but they offer m2m in their plans for free. Here are the two zip codes I used.

28144 (one w/ out regional plans)
33162 (one w/regional plan w/ m2m)

Hold on, VZW man is right, and you are right, all of the plans that are regional you have to pay for mobile to mobile, the reason is actually pretty smart, the regional plans only go from 29.99 to 79.99 with no perks, bells whistles, nothing, ...

My brother works for Cingular, had the Razr before it was sold to the public and sold it. It's more hype than anything else... I said the same thing about the V710 and it is still isn't a big deal.

What you don't see, even with 2 eyes, I hope is that you spend less money, to get less minutes, so you pay approx $90+ bucks for 500 minutes, that basically 100 minutes, can we say overage anyone???

Cingular's gears them up,(FT) pland based on you using lots of minutes, so you don't pay overages, but Verizons are geared up based on you paying for additional airtime minutes.

Sure you hopefully catch on, if you don't understand, thats what VZW is counting on, so when you pay them 60 cents a minute for overage, you make up for it BIG TIME!!!!!!!!

but with verizon's in network, the 100 minutes per line doesn't really matter. I'm a VZW rep and most of the four and five line FP activations there is only one "heavy user" they are mostly for parents to keep tabs on their kids. once the kids hit fifteen or sixteen they usually get thier own plans. the 500 min FP is a good option for a lot of people.

Oh right, the average customer on average uses approx 200 minutes a month,even with mobile to mobile,that is just fact, so based on your plan, you pay addiotnal 400- 500 minutes spread out over 5 phones, to makea customers bill an extra 4240.00 to $300.00 in overages, good job, they pay less upfront, but make up on the back end.Yeah thats g...

I am a verizon customer, I pay for a 1200 minute plan, now 1500, and it is family talk, and we use over 5000 minutes a month and don't go over the monthly anytime minutes. So, I think customers know and understand how to use the phones. pretty simple, the idea is, use the free minutes every time you get the chance. Heck, when my wife and I are together, I get an email, I don't check it with my phone, I use my wifes phone to check it, that way it counts as m2m minutes, not anytime. I know a lot of people that use lots more minutes then the anytime minute plan they are on, and they don't go over, I think people know how to get the most out of their plan. Are you on crack, seriously, the fact is "BEAN COUNTERS" determine how likely the customers are to go over on min, thats the higher you go, the less likely you are to go over, thats why the additional minute rate gets lower the higher plan price is.

As for 45 cents a minutes times that over 200 minutes of overage, thats 90.00, is it easier to pay 20 or 30 bucks more for the plan or $90.00 in overage.
