Blackberry maps on Verizon Curve

I just updated to software 4.5. Blackberry maps now has the option for GPS navigation. Is this supposed to work with the internal GPS? I am having no luck.

No its still locked to vznav. Rumor has it that the storm will be the first unlocked gps phone that verizon has ever offered. hopefully future verizon BB's will also feature unlocked gps.

I doubt future domestic (CDMA only) Blackberry's will have it unlocked.

why? If they unlock it on the storm and not on future devices, people are just going to throw a fit and freak out.

I could see a changing in opinion from verizon on this issue. Only time will tell I guess....

Why? Because the only reason the Storm's GPS is unlocked (I believe) is because Vodaphone is offering a version. I don't know what the CDMA Bold is going to be like. But if it has Blackberry Maps unlocked, I would be highly surprised.

since when does verizon let vodafone control policy decision. I know vodafone owns verizon, but I really don't believe thats why GPS might be unlocked.

Only time will truly tell, but I could see verizon changing their view on this one.
