Most of the messengers use text messages. If you're talking about the connect plan, then yes. Connect also includes Select which is totally unlimited messaging. Either way on Connect you'd be covered.

The connect plan isn't available for customers to be on yet. If you are on the select price plan then it is unlimited as with the premium. If you have a text plan unl in (vzw to vzw messages)/500 (out of network) then the text messages would deduct from the 500 out of network messages. Be careful with these types of packages because I have seen some really high bills due to this.
You mentioned web, if you're talking about just VPAK or Mobile TV for $25.00 then no it is not included with this service.
The mobile IM application (includes yahoo, aol, MSN messangers) is free to d/l but as the previous poster said it takes out of your text messages
