Customer Service Question HELP
My wife and I used our NE2 on 11/11. I am the primary she is the secondary. We had a 59.99 plan with a %10 unlimited and %5 unlimited in messaging plan. The calling and $5 text plan is no longer offered.
We purchases a Venus and a Blackberry curve with unlimited data and changed to $99 select plan...my question is...
as long as we are within our thirty days can we go back to our old plan nad get different/regular phones???
We went to 2 vzw stores and never got the same answer or a straight one so we are hoping nad praying someone on here knows how it works.
thank you!

That's a tough question and probably the answer will not be the same. I'm not really sure why you were forced off the plan you were on in the first place. I know a lot of reps just like to make people go to the new plans but both the Venus and a Blackberry with a Blackberry plan should have worked fine on the $59.99 Americas Choice 500 Minute share plan, if that's what you were on. It's old, but you should have been able to keep it.
There is a $59.99 550Min Nationwide Value plan that you should be able to get if you want to stick with $59.99. Also, if you returned all equipment and undid the upgrades within the time frame I would think you could go back to exactly what you had. Getting someone that is capable of putting you back on a...

It could be different by location. In the West area (12 western states not including Alaska), the 550 minute plan for $59.99 is retired. You can add new lines to it, but you can't move to it. The closest thing is the 65+ plan for the same cost with 450 minutes. You'd have to convince someone to give it to you if you're younger than 65.
It sounds to me that the reason they changed plans was to go to unlimited text on the Select plan. True, this didn't need to change for the devices, but they would have had to go Nationwide simply for all-inclusive unlimited text.
As for the short answer to the original question, you should have 90 days to revert back to the old plan. In retail stores that use Netace (assuming you went to a corpora...

It is now available for Customer Service to change it right over the phone without having to submit the a form to do so as well. But I don't know about a $5.00 text feature that would still be in the system, they would have to submit the form. But if you return the equipment yes they can revert you back to your old price plan and contract end date. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to go back to your old plan WITHOUT returning the equipment as well, but if you changed to select to get unlimited messaging then that was the reason you had to be changed

Thank you everyone...you hve been very helpful! We heard so many things that it got confusing...
One more question if i could...we have been with VZW since 2003....is there a restocking fee to go to a different phone if we change plans? The person at VZW at verizon said that he could possibly waive it. I should have followed up but i guess that didn't process with me in the moment.
Can we swap phones within 14 days nad have no restocking fee or is it 30 or?? clarification is very much appreciated....
thank again everyone

There is a 20.00 processing fee the exchange it within 30 days.
There will be an actual restocking fee of 35.00 (I think that's the amount) starting on the 16th but that should not apply to people who purchased their phones before then.
