I heard from someone that works for Verizon Wireless; that the company is looking into the idea of offering Sirius Satellite Radio in the near future. Does anyone know if this is really going to happen? If Verizon does start offering this feature, it could possibly also allow for Free MP3 Streaming radio as well. Alltel currently offers Streaming Radio and they are about ready to be bought-out by Verizon. So once Verizon owns Alltel; they also own Alltel's agreements with other companies.

I have never used an Alltel phone; so I don't know how the streaming fully works. But I know when I had Sprint, that I could stream pretty much any MP3 stream using a Standard-Media-Phone.

So I just want to see if Verizon is really thinking about off...

this would be cool. I have always wanted Verizon to offer a phone with FM radio so that I can listen to my NPR shows.

I know they are offering their service through a new application on the Blackberry. Only downside is its another $7 a month. more nickel and diming. I am slightly opposed to having to pay for XM/Serious on each device to listen to it. I can only listen to one XM/Serius device at a time. My wife and I currently both pay for XM in our 2 cars. But if I am out of the car I have to pay again?

Solution:
We both have windows mobile devices and listen to our XM Radio accounts for free via their website on our phones: http://xstreamxm.com/mobile

ITS FREE if you already have XM service!!! So why pay Verizon for duplication of service.

When you say "their website" are you sure whose website it is?

The last line here:
http://xstreamxm.com »
states: "The owner of this website is entirely responsible for all content and material on this website, and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by XM Satellite Radio Inc."

Correct. I am aware its a third party website that somehow is able to link streaming music from the XM site via my XM site username and password. I was originally nervous at first, but it gave it aa shot and never had an issue with my XM account. I have been using this site for almost 2 years now.
