Indirect rules and company policies

For those of you in the indirect and corporate side of Verizon Wireless:

What are some of the rules or separate contract terms and conditions your company has?

How do you pay your employees?

How do you deal with returns?

Do you buy from Verizon or do you have separate distributors?

Do you ever have serious conflicts with Verizon reps or competing stores in your area?

What do you use as your POS system?

Do you ever want to punch eroes?

How do you compete with online?

I am and have been in the indirect side for a long time and love selling phones and helping customers but sometimes feel I'm not doing it right. Please give me some info.

For those of you in the indirect and corporate side of Verizon Wireless:

What are some of the rules or separate contract terms and conditions your company has?

Nothing really. We do try to limit exchanges to 7 days and returns to 14 days. We also try to charge $10 ESN change fees if they are just for no reason and $10 upgrade fee on all $9.99 lines if we can. If it's a loyal customer we may not. Phone book transfers are $10 if they didn't buy the phone from us or just come in off the street for it. Otherwise it's free.

How do you pay your employees?

Most employees have always been just hourly. Now I have an employee on hourly plus commission.

How do you deal with returns?

Max 14 days, must be like new... no scrapes, ...
