For example, much of Nevada was roaming on AC before, now it isn't. Ditto a good chunk of the California Sierras. Granted I'm not out there more than a couple of times a year, but still, its a welcome change. 🙂
Do you think Verizon will eventually just have a local plan, and a nation wide plan, and get rid of the nation wide they have now. The americas choice is practically there now. That would put verizon over the top. And what I mean by getting rid of the nation wide they have now is by offering the night and weekend minutes, and mobile and mobile minutes, so, I gues...

That would be a question better put to a rep, but I would think that having fewer plans would be a goal, since it would reduce customer confusion and also remove not a few customer service headaches in the process...

What Trucks seems to be saying is that, since America's Choice is moving in a 'no roaming fees' direction, it might make National Single Rate obsolete, and thus VZW could just drop it and have fewer plans.
Or, looking at it from the other way, a modified National Single Rate becomes the new America's Choice, and America's Choice gets dropped. Whatever floats your boat 🙂

The only thing i have against this no roaming plans is that now if you need service where it was originally roaming now it says no service and your screwed that my only thing against it but alot of the areas are now roaming are not i agree but look at the current AC map vs the new one on monday.
I agree, that's the drawback. Some roaming areas are now part of the network proper, which is great, but some are now 'no service' areas. Its a double-edged sword, good for some, not so good for others.
It also appears to be a very marketing-driven decision.
