Well my order is still waiting to be shipped but in the meantime I found 1 at a Best Buy store today. It took a ton of calling around, but I got lucky. I have to say... so far I love it!

i am indirect and was promised 6 storms yesterday, and now should not be getting those 6 till tuesday (wtf!!!) and was also promised 30 more, but doubt that to be true. i think vzw does this because, at least the chain i work for, is better then most corporate stores. (better then all the ones in my area). so this is a way for vzw to get a lil edge on us small guys. 90% of my customers will wait till we get them, thats how good we are.
note* this is in no way saying corporate stores are not good, as in there are bad employees everywhere, we have had a few come and go. it also might be the way corp stores handle cs, but in my area they dont handle it at all. my store is bassed on cs, thats why we shine. heck we dont even advertise in our ...

I'm curious who and how they promised them to you? Like the other person said, they aren't even listed to order. We have to order from WOW and that's our only option from Verizon. How does an agent get promised phones without even ordering them? Just curious?

my boss talked with the owner of the warehouse, and they said they got 1000 of them and had to disperse(i think thats how u spell it, seperate) them to all stores, thats why we only got 3 per store.
that is just what i have been told. then our account manager (vzw account manager for indirects in fl) said she could get us 30 (no date when).
we did have the same problem with the voyager, not being able to sell them for about a month after release.
what i have come to learn, is that most people tell you what you want to hear to shut you up.
i guess time will tell

I guess it all boiled down to functionality for me.
I really love my curve and I just dont think the storm would suit me very well for how I use my phone. Enjoy the new gadget, I guess I have to admit that I am just a teensy bill jealous, lol

Just a tip....when setting up your storm, go into options, screen/keyboard settings, and adjust the sensitivity to 500 , 1000, 6. Also, make sure all of your message boxes are seperated, thru messages, then option...You will enjoy the phone.

I got mine this morning thank you FedEx! I have to say I'm not really seeing that many bugs, the occasional hickup with the orientation changing, but that's about it for me. My Pearl was more buggy when I bought it on release day. I can't compare it to the iPhone since AT&T doesn't have service here, but I will say the browser and the new OS are a great improvement, I even like SurePress now that I'm used to it.

cool it has taken very little practice for me to get fast typing on it...and the db that are reviewing this phone are really getting pretty lame. i read one review that said it's not like the touch screen of the iphone 😳 umm yeah we know its surepress and works great! the browser is amazing, finally! it works like a bb should and its fun to own.
