VIP question..
Story is.. I used my early upgrade to get my girlfriend a Chocolate 3. The phone was $149.99 with the 2year contract renewal, and then the lady said because I was a VIP member I also got a $50 MIR. On top of that we got a 2gb micro SD card, $50 pair of Sony headphones, and a data transfer cable for free.

VIP includes 50$ off 2yr pricing every 12 months with the annual upgrade. waived fees (phone book transfer, mtn change, early upgrade fees, etc) free 2 day shipping 25% off accessories etc.
We got the phone, the $50 Sony headphones, 2gig microsd, the data cable.
Now I'm not sure if technically it's a data cable. Her charger plugs into the wall, and then a USB cable plugs into it which then plugs into her phone. I figured that doubled as a data cable. She hasn't even opened her box, so I assume theres a normal charger in it. My stepdads Chocolate 3 came with a normal charger.
Good to know about the 25% discount on accessories!
Thanks for clearing that up.
As for the other ACC, I know that some stores will give them away for free depending on the plan you get, and if their managers are pushing for higher acc totals.
Instead of that they put accessories on and used your discount to pay for them. You were probably eligible to get the phone for $99 before rebate with your discount. So they added the headset and memory card, took off your 25% discount on accessories, bundled it into the $99 for phone and sold it to you for $150 telling you accessories were free so they could hit their accessory quota. It is still a good deal, but that is what it sounds like to me
