Nebie Seller Question

Sorry for the basic question 🤭 ; I didn't have luck on the search.

I have a couple LG VX-8300s that belonged to my wife and I. I want to sell them on eBay, but I'm concerned about security issues. I found a site that walked me through erasing all the personal info, but when I look up under phone info, I still see NAM1 and my phone number. Is there no way to remove this prior to selling the phone?

Thanks!

nope, not unless you can program it to a different mobile number...

When the buyer buys and activates them, it will put their MTN in that field.

I sent you a PM with manual programming instructions...

Just change the MTN to all zero's or ones...

Yes you can erase that info. Press "menu" then hit "0". It should ask for the service code and this will be "000000". (Depending on the software version of your 8300, you may have to call ##77647268300 from the main screen to get to the service code screen). You will then select "Service Programming". It'll show the esn, hit "ok", then change your "MDN" to 111-111-1111, same with the "MIN". Hit "ok" a few times until it resets and well dude, uhhhhhh there you have it ;-) Hope this helps
