since when do we prepay for postpaid plans?
i recently bumped my text/pix/flix package up to the next one, then to avoid any prorated charges the customer svc rep said that she'd add the change the following day when my bill cycle would renew. i agreed and thought that my bill would simply reflect the old package's bill plus overages for that month and that i would see the charges for the new package on my next bill. not so, the new package was included on my current bill. so i called to get an explanation and the rep told me that every bill is for the following month, not the previous month for which all those minutes were used. if that's the case, why is it called a postpaid plan? and how can we be paying for the following month when all call/usage detail listed in the bill is for t...

verizon bills service charges one month in the advance and any overage for that month will show up on the following/next bill. even tho they bill one month in advance that bill is not due till 25 days into the "month in the advance" bill. i hope it make some sense it's kind of hard to explain just like anything with vz

Plans and features are billed one month in advance. Overage charges and usage billed is for the cycle that just ended. Since you had already paid for the cycle that is beginning you should have been billed for the package plus the one month in advance. Normally you would have paid for this cycle last month but you didn't have the package yet you hadn't prepaid.
