Odd... in my local paper (the San Jose Mercury News) it had a full page advertisement for the new no roaming America's Choice. One of the more promiment things mentioned was "25% more Anytime minutes on select plans!", yet when I go to the VZW site, I see no xtra minutes for any of the AC plans for San Jose.

So what's up with that? 😕

Either that, or these must be some VERY select plans. As in invisible. 😳

Americas choice 400 got changed to americas choice 450 for the same price. If you are already on the 450, then you have the newest calling plan.

Yeah, but that's only 12.5% more minutes... In fact, I can't figure out any rate plans that went up by 25%, unless you count the new family share plan, where the first two lines are now sharing 500 minutes for the price they used to share 400. That IS a 25% increase, but on sort of a technicality.

Best explanation I've heard. But boo to Verizon if that's the kind of ad copy they're runnin'.

well, if I figured right, the family plan for $99 was 1200 minutes, now 1500 minutes, I believe that is a 25% increase. read your post from what you wrote,

"25% more anytime minutes on select plans:"

What does "select" mean. It did not say ALL plans, just select.....so, in other words, ad is not wrong.

Not any different then ford advertising UP to $7000 in rebates, but when you read the small print, $2500 of that is if you finance thru ford credit, $1000 is for loyalty buyers, ect...it say up to, not you will get $7000 in rebates....it is advertising, the way it is. Buyer needs to read small print all the time. Heck, the government even lets companies get away with this on food labels, label can say grams of trans fat, but, ar...

The ad(s) didn't seem to be from an authorized agent... it had the locations and numbers of all the official Verizon stores in the area at the bottom.

The "25% more" does seem to be referring to the Family plans, since the AC plans went up by only 12.5%. Its a little confusing at first, since the new Family Plans and their minute increases were introduced awhile ago. So you think there might be some new more minutes AC plan, in conjunction with the new "no roaming" plans(which are featured in the ad).

Whatever... it'd have been a lot simpler if they had simply come out and said "25% More Anytime Minutes on Family Plans!". This is why I hate advertising. 😕
