Anybody notice how the text/web alert/voicemail indicator volume is totally independent of the Samsung a650's main ringer volume? If you want to put your phone on vibrate, you have to turn the main volume down to vibrate AND go into the messages menu to put the message indicator volume on vibrate as well. Maddening I tell you!

i have the 670 and its the same way on my phone as the 650. i just keep the volume on hte messages at silent so that way i dont have to go change it every time i change the volume.

Idiots, can't you read??? I posted this before and I'll post it again. On the 670, all you had to do was press and hold the pound key and it will silence the entire phone, thus putting everything into vibrate mode (unless you have things set to silent in their individual settings). It will turn all sounds into vibrate.
I'm sure it is this way with the 650 as well.

Have you tried pressing and holding the # key for a couple seconds. I found that to be the shortcut to put everything in vibrate mode on my a670 when I had it.
