Question on Blackberry service plans - PLEASE

Can someone who knows please answer this. I cant seem to get a straight asnswer.

First, I have a Storm and love the thing. I've had them all too...the latest being the XV6900 (Touch). But always Windows Mobile. This is my first foray into Blackberry and it rocks for sure. I am an I.T. Consultant and do Exchange server in a lot of small companies.

The question is this: If youa re using the BB Server or BB Professional Software with Exchange, which data plan do you need, the $29 one or the $44 one? My understanding is the $44 plan is for the Blackberry Internet Service and this is if you *DONT* have your own Exchange server and BB server software and want BB to redirect/sync for you using the Desktop software. I think the only way you need the $45 dollar plan is if you are connected to a BES server. If you aren't on BES, I think you're safe with the $30 package.

The 29.99 plan only gets you BIS access. This is how you can access IMAP and POP3 email. If you need corporate email, BES or BB Professional than you will need the 44.99 plan because that plan allows you access to the BIS and also to the corporate solutions.
