For any of you Verizon employees, is it possible to exchange my Env2 in the store for a motorola (of course with them taking my situation into consideration)? VZW has already given me a free month due to lack of service and dropped calls. But my situation is still in the same rut.

Wouldn't they rather give me a phone that works instead of letting me out of my contract early? I'd really rather not let my service go (been a customer since 2001) because I'm hoping that sometime in the future they'll put up a new tower nearby. Is this possible or should I just sell my env2?

(the only way i know a moto would work where i live is the fact that i've had to reactivate my old razr v3m and it's able to hold calls on no bars, but i don't want it ...

They might give you one for a 1 year upgrade price. That is really wierd that your phone doesn't work though. You would think an area as big as southern California would have a decent number of towers.

thanks, yes, it is strange that verizon has such spotty coverage in places i frequent throughout orange and riverside counties...and i'm not even in the boondocks either (and yes, i've done *228 option 2 numerous times). as it turns out, vzw said i'm eligible for an early upgrade so i'll just sell my env2 and pay the difference for the moto krave.
