Moving / Changing Numbers ?

Having to do some contracting work for a network firm, getting sent out of state. I figure since I'll be there for 6 months I'd get my number changed... can I go to a VZW store here or just call *611 and have CS set that up before I get there or will I have to locate a VZW retailer in the state I'm relocating to??

Thanks guys, like always!

Don't bother. To get your account to be in the correct region, it would require a new contract, not worth it if your only going to be there for 6 months. stick with what you have.

Wrong!

You need to call the EZ Move department. They specialize in assigning new numbers in different markets. They will have to setup your account again with a different account number, but your contract dates will stay the same. The system will make it look like it's a new contract, but they will have the details and the original dates in the notes. I'd post the number if I had it, but not at work at the moment.

All of what vzwinagent said is correct. However, whether or not one has to call ezmove really depends on what city and state he/she currently has their cell # based out of and what city and state they are moving to.

The best thing to do wewsnu is to call customer service, they can determine whether or not ezmove needs to be contacted or if we can just do a simple cell phone # change.

I was under the impression that if it was a different market, it had to be EZ Move? Different markets can be as close as a county away.... and one market usually only includes a few counties.
